Multi-day Fly Fishing Trips

For our most keen fisherman that love the thought of camping on sand bars next to trout filled honey holes. Overnight trips can be arranged on either the St. Mary or Bull Rivers. One or two nights on the river will give you more fishing hours then you can probably handle. Some of the most exciting times on the river can be that last hour of light before dark as you will often see huge caddis hatches coming off. After fishing all day you can enjoy riverside campfires and great food. These splendid dry fly fisheries usually need a little heat from the sun to get started in the morning so you can relax with a fresh brewed cup of coffee while the river flows past and you enjoy your morning breakfast.

If this interests you at all we strongly suggest that you let us know as far in advance as possible. The rivers and areas we fish are generally close enough to Kimberley that in the case of bad weather we can often make changes on the go.

The Bull River is a great multi-day fishery for either 2 or 3 days. With a three day fish on the Bull River, we would walk and wade for one of those days and drift the other two. Experience the Canadian Rocky Mountains and a 100% pure Cutthroat fishery.

In the case of the St. Mary River we would drift every day with stops along the way to explore, walk, and wade. You would experience the transformation of the youthful St. Mary River at the base of the Purcell Mountain Range to the mature meandering St. Mary River just before it dumps into the mighty Kootenay River.

We recommend that our clients bring their own sleeping bags and tents if they have them. If not, we can provide these items at a minimal cost. Generally speaking, a sleeping bag with a -5 Celsius rating is sufficient, keep in mind the days are still quite long even into mid-August.

With the exception of taxes, gratuities and licences everything else you will need is included in the price of the trip.
